No Aedes, No Dengue!

Abstract               :
The No Aedes, No Dengue Health Dance Program is one of the Dengue Patrol Program led by President of Rembau Health Dance Society. This aerobics dance  is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training routines with the goal of promoting life without dengue. It was performed with music led by an instructor. The aerobics dance had five components: warm-up (5-10 minutes), cardio vascular conditioning (25-30 minutes), muscular strength and conditioning (10-15 minutes), cool-down (5-8 minutes) and stretching and flexibility (5-8 minutes). The activity was participated by almost 300 people included the school alumni, parents, local community, teachers and students. The objectives of the program are to raise the awareness of the dangers of dengue fever. Besides, it also helps to to educate and create public awareness on various health matters. The slogan “No Aedes, No Dengue” is definitely suit to aim for a Dengue Free Malaysia.

Abstract               :
The Dengue Patrol Program is officially launched by President of PTA. The launching was witness by almost 300 people included the school alumni, parents, local community, teachers and students. In conjunctions of the program, 50 students of Dengue Patrollers were given a wristband each during the ceremony. The objectives of the program are to promote the awareness among the community about the dangers of dengue fever caused by Aedes mosquitoes.  Besides, it also helps to inculcate the healthy lifestyle through the daily routine. The slogan “No Aedes, No Dengue” is definitely suit to aim for a Dengue Free Malaysia.

The Dengue Patrol Program
SANOFI PASTEUR together with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health launches a dengue education initiative to address the rising dengue epidemic in Malaysia. Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of Sanofi together with the joint effort of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health have launched the Dengue Patrol (DP).

The objectives of DP Program are:-
  •      To intensify awareness on dengue and improve public education.
  •      To educate and create public awareness on various health matters.
  •      To advocate prevention against dengue and spearheading dengue prevention activities in the       respective school’s immediate communities.

This program aims to recruit students nationwide to form Dengue Patrols in their respective schools to initiate activities that encourage the prevention of dengue and protection against Aedes mosquitoes.
